It it is not clear how many "Meinu Yufenpai" were created. One Taiwanese source catalogs more than 600. Considering that most of the calendars were created in a two-decade span, and that each piece adorned a full year's calendar, the number is quite remarkable, suggesting that 30 or more companies were issuing them at any given time. Pre-eminent among calendar-poster advertising were the arch-rival British-American Tobacco Company and the Nanyang Brothers Tobacco company (a locally owned industry), so a considerable number of calendars bear images of these two firms' products.
